Eduardo Casais

Prior to founding and becoming the CEO of areppim AG, Eduardo Casais worked at Nokia, where he led the development of WAP protocols, as well as the software for adaptation and conversion of Web content to Nokia's mobile Web servers. He also participated in various projects in the areas of the Internet for broadband networks, and Web TV.

Previously, he developed methods of software engineering, including object-oriented programming, analyzed quality of SMEs in IT, and contributed to activities in the field of databases and techniques for formal specification and verification.

At areppim, he designs the tools and sites for the mobile Web.

Eduardo Casais was "invited expert" to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) team in charge of "best practices" for the mobile Web. He owns several patents related to the technology and the applications of mobile Web, and holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Geneva.
